I do not need to tell you how the House Republicans’ misplaced priorities have failed our nation over the past four years. The 2013-14 Do-Nothing Republican Congress has shirked its duty as the governing party in the House, instead pushing a Tea Party agenda of shutting down the government, voting to repeal the Affordable Care Act 54 times, and blocking job creation measures that would modernize infrastructure, promote U.S. exports, and bolster homeland security.
Enough is enough.
It’s time for Congress to act on an agenda that the American People can count on.
That is why I am proud today to introduce to you the Middle-Class Jumpstart. On the same day as House Republicans prepare to waste more time by voting to sue to President Obama, House Democrats have presented an action agenda to create jobs for the middle class, and provide student loan relief and infrastructure investment which we will pass in first 100 days. This agenda is focused exactly where the vast majority of Americans are focused – on growing the economy and creating jobs. This agenda is what Democrats offer to the voters on November 4th.
During the first 100 days of a new majority Democrats pledge to:
Join with me by sharing our agenda for a Middle-Class Jumpstart and volunteering this fall to elect Democrats to office
