Statement from Connecticut AFL-CIO President John Olsen on Joe Courtney's Endorsement

“Joe Courtney has been a consistent supporter of Connecticut’s working families. While in the Connecticut General Assembly, Joe’s labor record included votes in support of prevailing rate and education. As a state legislator, Joe Courtney fought for better health care and was supportive of reforms that increased access to better health care for all of Connecticut citizens."

Joe Courtney has been good for Connecticut in the past and he will be good for Connecticut’s future. We need Joe Courtney in Congress,” said John Olsen. “Rob Simmons has a lifetime voting record of 38% on working family issues. That’s not good enough. The second district deserves better. We need a Congressman like Joe Courtney who will support working families and their issues 100% of the time,” Olsen said.
